The Grand Canal was being built by Wendi with many workers. The canal made a pathway which linked northern and southern China through two rivers. These two rivers are called: The Huang He (Yellow River) and Chang Jiang (Yangtze River). The Grand Canal also contributed to the fall of the Sui Dynasty. The Grand Canal brought good effects too though. It helped transport many goods from place to place and also served as a transportation route for humans.
